This third year school project was carried out within a group including 2 programmers and 4 game designers. over a period of 6 months on unity !
In this project and puzzle game you play a ghost who must move in the shadows and avoid the light in order not to disappear. So you will go through the rooms of your old mansion in search of what happened to you!
The first goal of this project is to work within a team and meat the production deadline.
The goal being to carry out an alpha of the project while respecting clear instructions and to respect the requested deadline, the group has put in place organizational management work and tasks to be performed.
The second goal is to make a project respecting the different pattern designs such as KISS and SOLID to have the most understandable code possible but also to ensure that this project is pleasant to play, fun and interesting.
My goal during this project is to implement several mechanics which must meet the requirements of game designers while simplifying their use of unity !
So, I focused on most of the game's mechanics such as:
- Detection by light
- Interaction of different types of buttons
- Moving objects on a grid etc….
Each of these mechanics can be easily personalized for each level, thanks to the different tools that I have implemented both in the unity inspector (in order to allow the values ​​to be easily tweaked) and in the display of some game objects (only in the inspector to have a visual when placing certain objects).
The project is still in progress , but, being always looking for new solutions and carrying initiatives, I give my best to be able to improve it further.
